The J D Lohr School of Woodworking in Pennsylvania offers the best total immersion, machine based woodworking and furniture making 48 hour course.  This offering is specifically designed for working adults from beginner through intermediate and advanced levels.  This is a large, state of the art facility with expert instruction and convenient location near Valley Forge, PA.

Lohr Practical Woodworking course: This is a carefully designed course that is guaranteed to not just meet but exceed all expectations in a friendly, fun and educational atmosphere.  There is absolutely no fluff or fill added to the content or lab activities of this very special course.   With careful guidance, the student does everything from selecting the rough lumber, to rough milling, to all fabrication processes through to the end with no short cut prefab pieces provided. This is hands on education at it's very best  from a four time nationally awarded professional studio furniture maker.
