Registration for all of the Practical Woodworking courses offered are as per availability on our Course Schedule Page . Generally, all courses are sold out 6 months or longer prior to actual run date. This high sell out rate is due to two reasons. First, we are quite confident you will not find a more comprehensive week-long intensive, no-nonsense, machine based woodworking course than our "Practical Woodworking Course" anywhere else in the USA. If you are at all doubtful of this claim, please see what some of our students have said about us at: Intermediate Student Reviews (as well as the Beginners and Advanced Student reviews linked on that page). No reviews posted were solicited and we literally have 100s more like these that are not published on this site. In all candor, every single one of these unsolicited reviews are at least as glowing as those posted. The second reason our courses sell out so far in advance is that we only have time to offer 7 to 8 Practical Woodworking Courses each year (depending on our commission schedule) as our studio is a genuine furniture producing shop, not just a school. Approaching instruction from the perspective of actually making a living at building furniture gives you a "Real World" approach that few academic teaching facilities, shops or institutions can match. We've been doing this a long tome, and we're good at what we do. If you are fortunate enough to find an available Open Bench position in any of the listings on the Course Schedule Page you are encouraged to reserve it for yourself before the class is fully sold out. This generally happens very quickly once any new offering of this course is posted. This is true even for courses offered 10+ months in advance. All students reserve their bench position by emailing Jeffry Lohr at JDLohrWood@aol.com and requesting a reservation on a specific course number. If a bench position is still available in that course, Jeffry will email a confirmation of available space in the desired course. If so, within 10 days of confirmation, the applying student makes a $50 non-refundable reservation deposit to hold and reserve the course in their name. Six months prior to the actual start date of the student's course, a 50% tuition deposit (less your $50 deposit) comes due, with the balance on tuition due by 60 days before the course start date. Any student needing to cancel an enrollment is refunded in full less the initial $50 reservation deposit providing the attending student cancels his/her enrollment at least 40 days in advance of the run date of the course. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email Jeffry at JDLohrWood@aol.com and you will receive a reply shortly. Please trust your email contact is confidential. Practical
