Advanced Joinery - Tuition and Materials Considerations Tuition / $1,250 Lumber for Course / $200 + $12 Pa.Sales Tax As you will recall in the Practical Woodworking 101 course the Tuition and Lumber & Material Fee were separate. We are required to do the same thing for the Advanced Joinery Course in regard to tax law issues of services being non-taxable and goods such as lumber being subject to PA Sales Tax. However in the case of the later (the materials requirement) we have significantly more difficult and challenging issues to overcome. Your project will require as below: A: Leg / Carcase / & Drawer Components: -
$130 (
REQUIRED) B: Top / Lower Shelf / Bread Board Ends / Drawer Face -
$70 (***AS
PER STUDENTS OPTION) TOTAL LUMBER FEE WHEN PURCHASED ENTIRELY THROUGH SCHOOL - $200 Enrollment Option #1 ( Easiest and most hassle
free way to enroll.) ***Enrollment Option #2 1) You must not pre-mill or glue-up any of the required 5/4" T.S.D. material prior to shipping to us. We require this material to be shipped to us in un-milled, rough-cut form, as you will recall from your Practical Woodworking 101 course that wood is subject to significant dimensional change due to temperature and humidity variables. Your wood will be milled to final dimensions here at the shop. 2) If you wish to supply your own T.S.D. material, you must make arrangements to ship it to us, to arrive no later than 14 calendar days before the run date of your course. We reserve the right to determine whether or not your wood is suitable when we see it. If we deem it not to be, we will provide you with alternative stock. In all cases, due to grade and machining restrictions, it is necessary for
Lohr Woodworking to supply you with our pre-selected walnut for the carcass as
described in list "A" at the
top of this page. Therefore, option #2 only permits you to supply your own
contrasting material on list "B",
above. If you chose to supply your own T.S.D. material (option #2), your
fees are as below: Below is the complete Bill of Materials required for the Advanced Joinery Course.
